Sundre Fish and Wildlife officer are asking residents in town and in the immediate surrounding area to take down any birdfeeders they may have in their yards and to ensure garbage is secure after a black bear was spotted over the weekend. Officer Adam Mirus said the bear has been seen going after feeders, even if the feeders are empty. “He has become habituated to know that the feeders mean food,” said Mirus. Officers are asking anyone spotting the bruin to call 1-800-642-3800 without delay.
