Sundre-Bergen 4-H members do well at parade

Bergen 4-H members and Sundre 4-H members did very well at the recent 4-H on Parade event in Calgary.

Bergen 4-H member Madeline Kerkovius finished 3rd in showmanship, 5th in English pleasure, 6th in English equitation, 3rd in western pleasure, and 2nd in western equitation.

Shelby Jennings placed 5th in English pleasure.

Bronwen and Dayla Bowhay both competed in English and western showing. Although they didn’t win ribbons, they were happy with the results they had and the good competition.

All nine Sundre Silver Spurs 4-H members who competed brought home ribbons in the horse portion of the competition.

Brooke Macklin won high point for Level 2A, winning a buckle.

Kayla Mitchell-Chadwick won reserve high point for Level 3A, winning a pair of stirrups.

All Sundre members placed very well in the multi-judging competition, said leader Tammy Macklin.
